Welcome & Course Introduction

Based on our lengthy and successful experience in TEFL, we have designed this practical, high quality TEFL course. This may well be the start of your TEFL journey – be assured that this will help you reach your destination. We have taught and managed TEFL for over 25 years and we believe that sharing our experience will set you on a fast track to reaching your goal.

We are delighted that our company has been accredited as a high quality e-learning institution by the International Accreditation and Recognition Council (IARC), a global organisation and a leading non-profit educational management association. IARC provides assurance that a member institution has satisfied a set of academic, ethical and operational standards.

IARC accreditation confirms that the course, our tutors, our assessment instruments and our company processes and procedures are all of high quality and are geared to helping and protecting you and all other students.

Our aim has been to make this course as practical as possible. For us, insights and tips are much more important than theory. Of course, theory underpins many aspects of teaching but when you start teaching EFL it’s these kinds of questions that will be in the forefront of your mind:

  • When should I do that?
  • What should I do next?
  • How can I introduce this?
  • When should I move on to that?
  • What should I be focusing on?
  • How can I do this better?

We have introduced some theory where we feel it’s absolutely necessary. Remember that much of the theory in learning and theory is not proven. We are dealing with people from different childhood experiences, different learning experiences, different learning styles, different attitudes and different levels of motivation, so the theory doesn’t always result in the same solid output for all learners. So, our approach will be to focus on what does generally work in practice.

We have one overriding aim – to ensure that you will be as fully prepared as you could possibly be when stepping into your TEFL role. It doesn’t just stop with your completion of the course. We’ll be here to help you with any advice you need on securing a job or any other teaching issue.
